The test was carrie .d out after a person felt strange when they started eating the candy, noticing a bitter taste.
Foundation spokeswoman Sarah Helm said the candy in question contained about three grams of methamphetamine , up to 300 times more than the dose typically consumed by users.
"Swallowing this amount of methamphetamine is extremely dangerous and can lead to death," Helm added, urging anyone who received lozenges from the association not to consume them.

According to the charity Auckland City Mission , the sweets were donated anonymously, in branded sealed packaging.
Methamphetamine can cause chest pain, increased heart rate, seizures, delirium and loss of consciousness , the foundation warned.
